Controle do câncer, acesso e desigualdade na América Latina

A The Economist Intelligence Unit criou o Escore Latino-Americano do Controle do Câncer (Latin America Cancer Control Scorecard, LACCS) para avaliar as políticas e programas de controle do câncer em 12 países da região. O LACCS mostrou que diversos países criaram ou fortaleceram seus Planos Nacionais de Controle do Câncer. No entanto, de modo geral, os planos não são suficientemente abrangentes e carecem de financiamento. Também houve progresso na implementação de registros de dados sobre o câncer na população, mas os problemas com a qualidade e a abrangência dos dados persistem.

Demystifying ageing: Lifting the burden of fragility fractures and osteoporosis in Asia-Pacific is based on the findings of the Asia-Pacific fracture and osteoporosis scorecard, created by The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) and sponsored by Amgen, along with 21 in-depth interviews with global experts. The scorecard was developed to assess the burden and response of health systems in addressing fragility fractures and osteoporosis, over eight economies: Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. The key findings are:
